Family Water Festival

Bring the family out on Sunday, April 1, 2012, for an exciting, fun-filled day celebrating the Texas Colorado River!  The Colorado River Foundation will welcome over 1,000 Central Texans at Austin’s original Family Water Festival and Colorado River Ramble – two exciting events celebrating one great river.

Family Water Festival

Sunday, April 1, 2012 ~ 10 am – 3 pm

Wilkerson Center for Colorado River Education at the LCRA Redbud Center

3601 Lake Austin Blvd.

Free Event! Free Parking!

We expect over 1,000 Austinites to come out for this free community event to learn about the Colorado River and water conservation.  Fun, hands-on activities, presentations, and booths by local non-profits teach about our river and water conservation.

Festival activities include science experiments, fishing and kayak clinics, reptile and river bug shows, arts and crafts, games, water safety tips, face painting, REI’s P.E.A.K maze, puppet shows by the Hey Lollies, and much more.  This year’s event will also include the Colorado River Ramble Awards Ceremony, lots of door prizes, ‘green’ vendors, and live music provided by local musicians on the beautiful grounds of the Wilkerson Center.
