The Colorado River Alliance leads FREE tours at LCRA’s Redbud Center and the Wilkerson Center for Colorado River Education. The five-acre riverside facility features exhibits that teach the history and importance of the Texas Colorado River, along with water quality best management practices:
Schedule your visit today! Visitors will explore interactive water features to learn how LCRA manages Austin’s water supply and prevents floods through the Highland Lakes and Dams system. We also show how rainwater harvesting and storm water management systems can conserve water and protect our watershed. These 1-2 hour tours are great for adult groups, high school or college students.

Programs are held Tuesday – Friday between 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. during the school year, and 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. during the summer months.
The LCRA Redbud Center is also open to the public from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. if you wish to explore this beautiful 4.5 acre site through a self-led tour.
